About the store
Moshico Coffee is an independent specialty coffee roaster in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Founder Moshe Ezra began roasting in 2008 on a 15 kg drum roaster in a shed at his property in Ashton.
For years the coffee reached locals by letterbox pickup and Adelaide cafés such as The Piccadilly Fox. In 2024 Moshe handed the business to his daughter Ella and her partner Cohen, who moved it online.
The brand describes its coffee as honest and approachable, and the Original Blend is its signature product.
The challenge
Coffee drinkers who brew at home finish a bag every week or two. Each reorder is a fresh decision, and a supermarket shelf or another roaster is always closer than a website.
Small roasters face a second limit: a short product list. With only a few coffees to sell, growth depends on how often each customer comes back.
A subscription only works for the buyer if it fits their drinking pace and can be changed without contacting the roaster.
Use case 01: The signature blend on subscribe and save
Under the size and quantity options on the Original Blend page, a Purchase options block offers two choices. One-time purchase costs $25.00 for 250 g, and Subscribe & save costs $22.50 with a green “Save 10%” pill.
The 10% applies to every delivery and to all three bag sizes: 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg. Moshico also promotes the offer in its own announcement bar (“SUBSCRIBE & SAVE 10%”), which links to the same product.
In TA Subscriptions App, this is a pay-as-you-go selling plan with a percentage discount, shown through the app’s product page widget.
Use case 02: Delivery that fits the customer’s drinking pace
The Delivery every dropdown lists six options: every 1, 2 or 3 weeks, and every 1, 2 or 3 months. A heavy home brewer and an occasional drinker can both pick a pace that matches the bag size they buy.
The Subscription details text states that subscriptions renew automatically and can be modified, paused or cancelled at any time. A Manage subscriptions link in the store menu leads to the customer’s account.
The customer portal in TA Subscriptions App supports these changes. Subscribers can change frequency, skip or reschedule an order, update their address or cancel.
What merchants say
The app is very easy to use for us and seems to be easy to use on our customers' end as well
