How Dunsten Jewelry keeps its shipping offer and promises in view on every page

About the store

Dunsten Jewelry is a small Seattle team that designs necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Its pieces use lab-created moissanite, zirconia and gemstones such as tiger’s eye and ruby, set in sterling silver.

The brand builds its message around ethical sourcing, self-love and a customer community it calls the Self Love Club. It ships within the US from its Seattle warehouse.

The online store lists 81 products across 29 collections.

The challenge

Extra costs are the most common reason shoppers give for leaving a checkout. In Baymard Institute’s cart abandonment research, 40% of US shoppers who abandoned an order named costs such as shipping, tax and fees.

Jewelry bought online raises two more doubts before a first purchase: whether a piece can be returned, and what it is made of.

A store can answer all three in its policies and product descriptions, but few shoppers read those pages before they decide. The answers work better where shoppers already look: the top of the page and next to the products.

Use case 01: Two offers share one bar on every page

The top bar alternates between the free-shipping threshold and the current best-seller sale.
The top bar alternates between the free-shipping threshold and the current best-seller sale.

A navy bar runs across the top of every page, above the store header. It alternates between two messages: “Free Shipping On Orders $100+” and “25% Off Best Sellers ✨ Ends Soon”, which links to the sale collection.

Rotating the messages keeps the bar to a single line while giving each offer its own moment. The same bar appears on the homepage, product pages and collection pages. A shopper who lands on a product from an ad still sees the shipping threshold.

The $100 threshold matches the store’s shipping policy, which offers free economy shipping on US orders of $100 and over. In TA Banner Slider, Sales Pop up, this is a Rotating Banner set to show on all pages.

Use case 02: A trust strip right above the best sellers

A scrolling strip repeats shipping, returns and materials directly above the best-seller products.

A cream strip further down the homepage, directly above the Shop Best Sellers section, scrolls three points:

  • “Free Shipping Orders $100+”
  • “14-Day Easy Return”
  • “High Quality Sterling Silver & Lab Created Moissanite”

That position puts the answers next to the first products a shopper compares. The strip covers price (shipping), risk (returns) and quality (materials) in one line, in the brand’s cream and black colours.

This is a Marquee Banner placed with the app’s Custom Position option through an app block in the theme editor, with no code changes. The strip shows only on the homepage.

What merchants say

The rotating banner and custom height features are super helpful.
