About the store
Mude Clothing makes base layers with a hidden pocket and tubing pathway for insulin pumps. The range covers a tank, a camisole and shorts, and works with tubed and tubeless pumps from brands such as Tandem, Medtronic and Omnipod.
Founders Aidan McGeary and Kat Pohorecka started the company in July 2023. They spent about two years co-designing the range with more than 300 pump users before launching in January 2026.
Mude presents itself as a fashion brand rather than a medical one. It ships to the UK, Ireland and Europe, with storefronts in English, German and French.
The challenge
A small catalogue sets a limit on order value. With six products, a store raises its average order value mainly by selling more than one item per order. Shoppers need a clear reason to add a second item.
A new brand also has to earn trust quickly. Shoppers who have not heard of it look for signs of who stands behind it before they buy.
Mude’s answers to both, a bundle discount and a charity partnership, sit on its homepage hero and collection page. A shopper who arrives straight on a product page from search or social media does not pass through those pages.
Use case 01: Bundle tiers that follow the shopper
A navy bar sits at the top of every page and stays in place while the shopper scrolls. One of its messages reads “Bundle discounts: 20% off 2 | 30% off 3+”.
On a product page, the product description does not mention the bundle offer, so the bar is where shoppers see it. A shopper reading about the tank can see that adding the shorts brings 20% off both.
The bar’s offer matches the store’s own pages: the collection page states 20% off any 2 products and 30% off any 3 or more. In TA Banner Slider, Sales Pop up, this is a Rotating Banner set to show on all pages, with the sticky option turned on.
Use case 02: Mission and shipping in the same line
The same bar rotates three other messages: “Proud Partners of Breakthrough T1D”, “3% of all sales donated to Breakthrough T1D” and “Free UK Shipping”. Each message shows for about four seconds before the next.
For shoppers new to the brand, the partnership and the donation share tell them who Mude works with before they read the product page. “Free UK Shipping” removes one cost question for its home market, and the store’s shipping page confirms free delivery on UK orders.
Four messages fit into one 53 px bar, so the bar takes the same space as a single announcement. The bar uses Mude’s navy and the Poppins font from its theme.
