Nguyễn Duy HoàProduct & Growth Marketer, Tech Arms and SimiCart
Finn has worked on the Shopify ecosystem since 2023, first in SEO and store setup, then as a product and growth marketer for Shopify apps: three B2B wholesale apps, and now five B2C conversion apps at Tech Arms and SimiCart. He writes and reviews the guides, use cases and blog posts on this site, and checks what they say about our apps against the apps themselves.

Three teams inside BSS Commerce, one thread: watching how Shopify merchants choose tools, and what they actually need at each stage of a store's life.

Sep 2023 – Jun 2024eComstart · BSS Commerce01 Start
SEO & Product Marketer, eComstart
Finn began in SEO on eComstart, an affiliate site for people starting a business on Shopify. The work was writing and ranking the pages new merchants read before they commit: which plan to pick, which theme, which apps to install first. He then moved into running eComstart's Shopify store setup service, working alongside merchants as their first stores went live.
What it taught him: new merchants rarely need more apps. They need the right one at the right step, set up properly.SEOAffiliate contentStore setup services -

Product & Growth Marketer, BSS B2B Suite
Next came three wholesale apps used together: BSS B2B Solution for wholesale pricing, BSS B2B Lock for access control, and BSS B2B Quote for request-a-quote and quick order. Finn worked across App Store optimisation, SEO, use case pages and customer case studies built from merchant interviews, and reviewed product content against the apps' source code and user guides.
What it taught him: merchants buy a workflow, not a feature list. A page earns trust when it shows exactly how a store sets that workflow up.Shopify B2BASO & SEOUse cases & case studies -

Product & Growth Marketer, Tech Arms and SimiCart
Same role, a new side of the market. Finn now looks after B2C apps: Tech Arms' five conversion apps, from banners and product labels to pre-orders, subscriptions and store locators, alongside SimiCart. The focus moves from wholesale workflows to the shopper's journey, and to the small leaks that cost a store its sales at each step.
What he's working on: showing merchants which step of their funnel to fix first, and which app fixes it.Conversion (CRO)B2C appsBuyer journey
Where Finn's attention is on the Shopify market
How merchants pick and combine apps
Most stores run a stack of apps, not one. Finn is interested in which combinations work, where they overlap, and how a merchant decides what to install first.
B2B and B2C on the same store
Having worked on both sides, he follows how more brands sell wholesale and retail from one Shopify store, and what that means for pricing, access and checkout.
How apps get discovered
App Store search, comparison content and AI answers all shape which apps merchants try. Finn works on all three and writes about what helps merchants choose well.
Conversion along the buyer journey
From first visit to repeat order and in-store visit, he looks at each step as a separate problem with its own fix, rather than one conversion rate to push.
Accurate first, then useful
Before a guide, use case or blog post goes live, Finn checks what it says about Tech Arms apps against the apps’ official documentation and their current Shopify App Store listing. Where the two disagree, the page follows the docs, and pricing or plan limits always follow the App Store listing.
Facts about Shopify itself are checked against Shopify’s own documentation. Numbers we can’t source are left out rather than estimated.
